These IBD Leaderboard stocks were added to the leaders list on Monday, as industrials, materials and some consumer staples stocks lifted late Monday. Stimulus spending and rising optimism on the global economy are driving investors back into construction and infrastructure-related names.

We’ll review these candidates for potential trades going into the last two trading days of March.

Cleveleand Cliffs (CLF) was added to the IBD50 Top 10 list, as the stock approaches a buy zone.

Boeing (BA) is retaking a buy point in a cup base, as the right side of the mega-cup pattern offers new entry points.

The company signed a major new 787 MAX jet deal with Southwest Airlines. The latter added 100 orders to its agreement and is ready to take the first 30 jets for delivery in 2022.

Boston Beer (SAM) cleared a trend line that gave the stock an aggressive entry. Shares are extended from that entry, but they are still forming a cup base. On a positive note, the current base is second stage, and the relative strength line is near highs. We are watching for accumulation.
While the company is best known for the Samuel Adams brand, (SAM) sees growth opportunities for its Truly, Twisted Tea and Dogfish Head brands. Early in 2021, it launched Truly Iced Tea Hard Seltzer, which combines hard seltzer with real brewed tea and fruit flavor.

Futures are currently trading lower this morning, with VIX moving to the morning highs at 21.33 at present. As a result, we may see an opportunity to trade index options as we did on Monday. Look for VIX to retreat after 10AM.
