These ten winning stocks are breaking out today. All of the candidates popped up on Monday’s blue dot scan, while several were from the MarketSmith Growth 250 List. All ten showed relative strength while the indices faded from the early morning highs.
Ten Winning Stocks Breaking Out Today
The US stock market continues an uptrend that began the second week of June. Small caps showed relative strength while the S&P 500 remained range bound for the past seven days. Nasdaq has rallied about 20% in that period, so consilidation was warranted.
The MarketSmith Growth 250 List was active today as well, with over 350 stocks moving higher on above average volume. In addition, 36 stocks are near pivots and ready to break out.
Griffon (GFF) stock is breaking out of a first-stage consolidation. The building products firm’s earnings grew 191% last quarter, up from -22% in the prior report. Revenue also increased, from 9% to 36%.
Consensus analyst estimates call for EPS growth of 115% for the quarter, and a 109% gain for the full year.
Griffon stock has a 97 Composite Rating and holds the No. 2 rank among its peers in the Building-Construction Products/Miscellaneous industry group. Quanex Building Products (NX) is the top-ranked stock within the group.
